Standardized tests

I feel that standardized test are necessary for Elementary students only and to only be used as a basis for the school to adapt to the needs of the students. The schools today do a terrible job preparing students for ACTs and other major tests. Standardized test are a basic waste of time for high school students that have already been taught what their schools think is necessary. If these test are so important why don't schools prepare us more.
